Outreach and Education
The Outreach and Education Department is responsible for community and public relations, internal and external education, and communications for Peer Support and Advocacy Network.
The main goal of the department is to establish relationships within the community-at-large as well as mental health, business, corporate, foundation and civic communities by offering opportunities to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma attached to individuals with mental health challenges, and to communicate the peer support concept and the process of recovery. PSAN is actively seeking educational and informational opportunities to provide those we serve with knowledge and empowerment to aid with their growth, recovery, and resources available through PSAN.
Does your organization need a speaker? PSAN will provide a speaker to educate your organization about living with a mental health diagnosis. Please call us at 412-227-0402 or e-mail at psan@peer-support.org to schedule a speaker.
